Paul Teutul Sr and his oldest son Paul Teutul Jr started the Orange County Choppers, Inc. in 1999 to manufacture custom made motorcycles. The family business of the Teutal’s of steel manufacturing known as Orange County Ironworks was started in the 1970s. Paul Sr set out to make his very first motorcycle in the basement of his house. With enough input from his son their first bike which was known as “True Blue” was displayed at the Daytona Biketoberfest in 1999. They definitely had a winner at hand as the bike was very well received. This made them form Orange County Choppers, Inc., the very same year. They now have the assistance of Paul Sr. youngest son Michael Joseph Teutul who is the chief designer as well as the fabricator in the company.

They became very successful in their chosen field and are very much in demand. The trio are stars of the famed show “American Choppers” that is telecast on Discovery Channel. The show began in 2002. The Orange company has got quite an enviable client list like Microsoft, Coca-Cola and Lincoln, just to name a few. The company is regarded as the best in the business of making custom made Bikes.

The company has many bike enthusiasts as its fans and they also have an official fan club with registered members. Just goes to show the popularity of the bikes. Many believe that they are located in California in Orange County but they are actually located at New York. The company also has retail stores at Scotts Corners and one at Palisades Center Mall and at Woodbury Commons Outlet Mall a season kiosk is available.

“The Fire Bike” is probably one of their most popular bikes and it was designed by Paul Jr. in memory of the Firefighters who lost their lives on 9/11. Atop the fuel tank of the bike is a steel rivet which is said to be from the WTC itself. It was initially themed “343” referring to the number of firefighters the nation lost n the tragedy.

The Orange County Choppers also made an “Army chopper” which was commissioned by none other but the Pentagon. They have designed a Chopper known as the “Liberty chopper” which has a copper finish to it and the bike has pieces of copper from the Statue of Liberty itself.

They also have a Gift Card offer where you can buy one for your near ones and they can buy products of their choice They have things such as official OCC apparels, hats, bags, sunglasses, key chains, automobile accessories, thermos, water bottles and many such, a true OCC fan would want to have them all.

The company also holds contests at times and gives away a bike as prize and this is something that is really looked out for by true Bike lovers. Orange County Choppers business is not just one to make money but a whole lot of passion goes into making each Bike, a painstaking job which includes a lot of thought and effort that is unimaginable and the result is an absolute masterpiece.
